Have your gas pipes already been inspected?

Gas installation pipes from category II and up must meet the inspection requirements of the Pressure Equipment Commodities Act Decree. ECH can perform this inspection for you. We can also combine this inspection with a SCIOS certified company.

Do you have a gas-fired installation with a thermal capacity > 100 kWth or a group of devices combined > 100 kWth?

Then your heating installation also needs to be periodically inspected by an SCIOS certified company/person. This is because the Activities Decree and the Activities Regulation (in accordance with article 3.7 m) apply in these cases. Not only the burners, but also the fuel supply must be inspected. For gas installation pipes, this concerns the gas pipe from the commercial transfer point, or in other words, after the GOS Gas Receiving Station up to the relevant burners > 100 kWth or combination of burners > 100 kWth.

How often does your gas line need to be inspected?

The inspection period for gas installation pipes is once every four years. 

What does the inspection entail?

• Visual inspection of the pipeline route (corrosion, damage, support, marking, etc.).
• Inspection for leaks (by gas detection or leak tightness test).
• Control of the prevalence and sealability of (hazard) valves.
• Check for protection against corrosion.
• Check of security equipment.
